How it works

From a sentence to the post office in 3 steps.

  1. 1

    Describe it

Tell Genie what you need to send, in plain words — and attach a bill, receipt, or email if it helps. No forms, no fiddly formatting.2

  2. 2

    Genie drafts & verifies

It writes the letter in the right tone, finds the recipient, and confirms the address is actually deliverable.2,3

  3. 3

    We print & mail it

Review the real PDF, pay once, and we post a physical letter through the mail. You get a tracking reference and a PDF copy of your letter to keep.

Why PostalGenie

Everything the post office never made easy.

Right tone for the job

Genie matches the tone to the job — firm for a complaint, warm for a thank-you, persuasive for an appeal.2

Every address, verified

Look up a business or office by name. Every address is checked by Genie as a real, deliverable address before you pay.2,3

Real mail, not email

We print and post a genuine letter through the postal system — the kind people actually read and act on.

Private by default

Your letter's content is deleted 24 hours after it's mailed. We keep only the receipt.

You approve every word

Edit the draft freely, then preview the exact PDF we'll mail. Nothing goes out until you say so.

Add context with a file

Attach a bill, receipt, or past email and Genie reads it for context — so your letter cites the right names, dates, and details. Supports PDF, DOCX, JPG, and PNG.2,4

What people send

Why a real letter

When it has to count.

Some messages need more than an email — they need to be on the record.

A Certified Mail letter on a desk — a green USPS certified label, postmark, and stamp — addressed from an individual to a business.

The only form that counts

Many business and government filings require written notice by mail — an email may not satisfy the rule at all.

Proof it was delivered

Send it as Certified Mail with Electronic Return Receipt (an optional upgrade) and you get a USPS record of who received it and when.

Paper carries weight

A mailed letter leaves a tangible, dated record, and people tend to take physical mail more seriously than email — which can matter if you ever need to show you reached out.

Hard to ignore

No “it went to spam.” A letter on paper — and, with certified, a signed receipt — is far harder for someone to wave away.

Pricing

Questions

Good to know.

Is this a real, physical letter?

Yes. We print your letter and hand it to a print-and-mail provider that posts it through the postal system. It arrives as paper mail.

How is my letter printed?

Letters are printed in black and white only on standard letter-size paper. We don't currently offer color printing.

How much does it cost?

A flat $2.99 per letter sent First-Class — covering drafting, printing, postage, and handling, with no subscription. Need proof of delivery? Choose Certified Mail with Electronic Return Receipt for $15.99, which adds USPS tracking and a signed record of delivery. Prices exclude sales tax.

Who can use PostalGenie?

Anyone in the United States who is at least 18. You send on your own behalf — using your real name and return address — not on behalf of someone else.

Who can I send to?

Businesses, organizations, and government offices (found by name), or any address you enter manually — anywhere the U.S. postal service delivers: all 50 states, Washington, D.C., U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands), and APO/FPO/DPO military addresses. Senders must be located in the United States.

How long does delivery take?

After you approve a letter, it's typically processed and handed off for mailing within 1–2 business days. From there, most letters arrive in about 3–5 business days (First-Class). Certified Mail takes about the same time but adds tracking and a signed record of delivery.

What if I need something postmarked by a specific date and time?

If you're up against a hard postmark deadline with only a day or two to spare, we can't guarantee your letter will be postmarked in time, so we don't recommend relying on PostalGenie for it. Use the service when you have at least 3–5 business days of lead time before the required postmark date.

Do I have to write or format the letter myself?

No. Describe what you need in plain words and Genie drafts a complete, properly formatted letter. You review and edit it before anything is sent.

What happens to my letter's content?

It's automatically deleted 24 hours after the letter is mailed. Only the receipt is kept.

Can I edit what Genie writes?

Always. You can rewrite the draft however you like and preview the exact PDF before paying. Nothing is sent without your approval.

Is my payment and personal information secure?

Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never store your full card details. Your letter's content is deleted 24 hours after it's mailed — only the receipt is kept.

Is my conversation with Genie private?

Yes. Your chat and draft are processed by a third-party AI model provider that doesn't use them to train AI models and retains them only briefly. We delete our own copy 24 hours after your letter is mailed.

Got something that needs to be said on paper?

Let your voice be heard. Let Genie handle the writing, the address, and the mail.

Disclaimers

  1. Prices are shown exclusive of sales tax; applicable sales tax is calculated and added at checkout. The price covers a one-page letter; each additional page is $0.20. Letters of 7 or more pages (printed single-sided) incur an additional $5.50 in postage.
  2. Genie is an automated AI system, not a person. It drafts each letter from the information you provide and does not add facts or claims you did not supply. AI-generated output may vary or contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing and approving the final letter, and no letter is mailed without your approval.
  3. Address lookup and verification rely on third-party data and are provided on a best-efforts basis. Accuracy is not guaranteed and may depend on the recipient and the records available; you are responsible for confirming the recipient's address before sending.
